Our Story: Gentle Support After Unexpected Sudden Loss
Hi, I’m Salina, the creator of Forever Dhian.
In October 2024, my world shattered when I suffered the sudden loss of my beautiful, healthy son, Dhian, just days before his first birthday. In the wake of that unimaginable pain, I searched desperately for resources that understood the unique weight of sudden loss—the shock, the unanswered questions, the loneliness in a world that moves forward when yours has stopped.
What I needed most was gentle guidance, not clichés. Practical tools, not platitudes. A space where grief wasn’t fixed, but honored.
Before Dhian’s passing, I ran a small Etsy shop creating digital invitations and family planners (which can be found [here]). While that work brought me joy, it was his loss that reshaped my purpose. The care I poured into those 5-star-reviewed products—the attention to detail, the quiet hope that my work might ease someone’s load—is now channeled into every grief guide, every journal prompt I create here. This isn’t just a shop. It’s a lifeline I needed but couldn’t find.
That’s why I created Forever Dhian.
Here, you’ll find:
- Honest blog posts about navigating grief’s unpredictable waves (because no one should grieve in silence).
- Carefully curated resources—printable journals, memorial keepsakes, and step-by-step guides—for the days when even small tasks feel impossible.
- A community that understands the language of loss.
This isn’t about “moving on.” It’s about learning to carry love—and pain—forward, one breath at a time.
If you’re here, I’m so deeply sorry for your loss. But I’m also grateful you’ve found this corner of the internet. However heavy your heart feels today, you’re not alone.
With love,
Salina 🤍
